Bake Europe’s traditional Easter treats online

Each week we’ll explore a range of Easter bakes from a different European country.

We love celebrating key moments in the calendar and Easter is one of our favourites, a wonderful time to share the bakes we most enjoy with our friends and family. This series has a wonderfully rich mix of recipes, skills, familiar bakes and some lesser known treats.

Alongside our expert bakers you will master two Italian tarts in week one, both sweet tarts using unusual but everyday Italian ingredients. Week two is dedicated to French Easter baking, with a classic buttery brioche and some rich chocolate cakes. Week three you’ll learn about two enriched doughs eaten across Eastern Europe and key bakes during Easter. The final week we’ll be right at home with British baking and yes, there will be hot cross buns!

15th March: Italian Easter (pastiera Napoletana & torta di tagliatelle)

22nd March: French Easter (Easter brioche with candied fruits & ‘bird’s nest’ chocolate cakes)

29th March: Eastern European Easter (paska & strudel babka buns)

5th April: British Easter (hot cross buns & spiced Easter biscuits)

Need to Know:

The recipes are designed for bakers of all skill level.  Your workbook includes a complete ingredients shopping and equipment list

  • The series begins 15th March – you must start the series on this date.
  • When you enrol for Week 1, you are signing up to join us for every week, you do not need to confirm attendance with us each week.
  • Download your workbook from your confirmation email.
  • Allergens include: gluten, egg & dairy.
  • Each workshop will last approximately 2 – 2.5 hours (total of 8 – 10 hours)
