A classic lenten treat! Bake Swedish semlor buns.

These enriched buns are typically found in bakeries in Sweden from lent through to Easter, so what better time to master these with us online. 

We will show you how to make the marzipan filling, whipped cream topping and the traditional way of assembling the semlor bun. Using a particular technique of melting the butter and milk before forming your dough, this method is a fantastic alternative to the traditional brioche. Alongside our expert baker you’ll further your knowledge of enriched doughs and create six delicious marzipan and cream filled buns.


The recipes are designed for bakers of all skill level and to be mixed by hand.

Your workbook includes a complete ingredients shopping and equipment list. The workshop will last approximately 1 .5 hours.
