Dive into the rich and flavourful world of Spanish Sweets in this online workshop.

Over the course of 2 hours, you’ll learn the intricate techniques behind two beloved Spanish desserts: Burnt Basque Cheesecake and Turrón de Jijona.

Under the guidance of our seasoned baker, you’ll first master the art of the Burnt Basque Cheesecake. Known for its creamy interior and perfectly caramelised top, this cheesecake is a showstopper. You’ll learn how to achieve the ideal ‘wobbly’ interior, whisking together cream cheese, eggs and sour cream, and then you’ll bake your cake on a high heat to create the signature ‘burnt’ look.

Next, you’ll create Turrón de Jijona, a traditional Spanish nougat that is brimming with the flavours of toasted almonds and honey. Our baker will guide you through caramelising the sugar and achieving the perfect consistency for cutting and enjoying. 

By the end of this workshop, you’ll have created a luxurious Burnt Basque Cheesecake and a batch of authentic Turrón de Jijona to share!

The recipes are designed for bakers of all skill level and to be mixed by hand, using domestic kitchen utensils, no specialist equipment is needed.
